Bebe Rexha lashed out at a concertgoer who seemed to throw objects at her onstage while she was performing. In a now-viral video on X, formerly Twitter, an enraged Rexha talked down to an audience member.
"If you hit me with something on stage i'll take you for everything you've f***ing done. do not f***ing play with me right now. Out, get the f**k out," Rexha warned.
Eventually, the man was escorted off the concert grounds to the joy of Rexha and the crowd.
Rexha's fans expressed worry and confusion about why people kept throwing things at her onstage.
"why are they obsessed with throwing things at her??????" one asked on X.
"people seriously need to leave her alone. she doesn't do anything wrong to warrant the things she faces," a fan wrote, echoing others' sentiments, "AGAIN?!??! No, yall gotta leave this lady alone. STOP THROWING THINGS AT BEBE REXHA!"
"as she should. this behavior of throwing things at artists on stage needs to stop. it's very irritating," a user said in agreement.
"People need to stop throwing shit on stage at artists performing. This has happened more than once to her," one noted.
Last June 2024, Rexha also booted people out of a concert after they threw things at her onstage.
"Out, out. Or if you want to hit me in the face, I pressed charges to the other guy -- I would love to become richer. So go right ahead," she told the audience. As fans cheered, she clarified: "I'm not inviting that, please. It was just a joke."
Rexha has been very vigilant for her safety during concerts after her 2023 incident, where a fan threw a cell phone at her onstage. Rexha collapsed onstage at the Rooftop of Pier 17 after being directly hit in the face. Shortly after, her team escorted her out of the stage, rushing her into the hospital.
The 27-year-old Manalapan, New Jersey native Nicolas Malvagna was arrested and charged with felony assault. Malvagna said he was "trying to see" if he "could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny."
"The individual was taken into custody on scene and removed to the 1st Precinct for arrest processing. The aided female was removed by EMS to an area hospital in stable condition," the New York Police Department said in a statement.
