Tory Lanez seemed to be utilizing his last few days before finally entering jail for quite a long time. The rapper recently released a new collaboration days after his final sentencing trial date was announced.
Formally known as Daystar Peterson, Tory Lanez, released his long overdue collaboration with his brother Yoko Gold - "Hurts Me."

According to an AllHipHop report, Lanez revealed that the song was sitting for so long in their hands before actually releasing it today.
"Two and a half years ago my brother Yoko and I orchestrated this record for his project," the rapper said in a statement on an Instagram post. "We never thought nothing of it. It collected dust in a hard drive. Guess God had a different plan for it."
Aside from the emotional post, Lanez also thanked the "Umbrellas" for leaking the record, an endearment for his fans. "Yoko it's your time. Hold the Umbrella down while I'm gone," he bid goodbye.
If you're not akin to what happened to Tory Lanez, he was convicted of three counts of felonies for shooting Megan Thee Stallion on the feet after leaving a Kylie Jenner party in 2020.

Tory Lanez Conviction, Sentence
After a highly-publicized trial between him and Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez was convicted of three counts of felonies-assault with a semiautomatic firearm, having a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
He is facing a maximum of 22 years in prison and deportation to Canada. Meanwhile, prosecutors were only asking for 13 years in prison and deportation to Canada. Supposedly, Tory Lanez's sentencing trial should have taken place shortly after her conviction in December 2022.
However, he continuously appealed the judge's verdict, even going to the lengths of firing his initial counsel and attempting to disqualify the presiding judge whom he initially begged to rule in favor of him.
Now, Tory Lanez's sentencing trial will take place on Aug. 7, 2023.
In the same statement he posted on Instagram, Lanez had this to say to his fans as he awaits his sentencing trial.
"I want y'all to know I haven't lost my faith in God and that I'm in high spirits," Lanez explained. "I'm praying for the best and remain confident that God will bring me through this."
