Even Elvis Presley's family does not want Priscilla Presley's last resting place to be somewhere near the late King of Rock and Roll at Graceland.

Priscilla expressed her desire to be buried at Graceland near Elvis' remains, where their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, was also laid to rest. Her request got denied in the settlement with her granddaughter Riley Keough, and even the late King of Rock and Roll's family disapproves of the idea.

Why Elvis Presley's Family Does Not Want Priscilla Presley to Be Buried Near Him

Lisa Marie Presley became the latest member of the family to be buried in Graceland's Meditation Garden next to her late son, Benjamin Keough. The place also holds the remains of the "Can't Help Falling In Love" hitmaker, his parents, and his grandmother.

After her daughter's death, Priscilla also expressed her desire to be laid to rest in the same area by stating it in her previous legal battle with Keough.

The request got denied, but Elvis' family also showed their disapproval of her request.

On the YouTube channel Elvis Fans Matter, Elvis' cousin Billy Smith said Priscilla's wish should never go ahead. He also spoke with his wife, Jo, in the video and explained why they do not want it to happen.

"Most people understand it. She is his ex-wife," Smith said. "She's not his widow. He was not married to her when he passed away. Now if she had still been married to him when he passed away. I could see that different."

After their divorce in 1973, the King of Rock and Roll went on to date several women until he got engaged to Ginger Alden - who stayed with him until he died in 1977.

Priscilla Presley Wants To Be Buried Next To the "Love" of Her "Life"

Smith's statement came after a news outlet confirmed that Prisicilla's request to be buried at Graceland was denied.

After she settled with Keough, Priscilla ultimately lost the chance to choose her final resting place.

On the other hand, she will receive $1 million lump sum and $400,000 to cover the legal fees and costs "within 10 days after Riley's receipt of the life insurance proceeds" following the settlement. Keough is now the sole trustee of Lisa Marie Presley's estate, with her twin daughters Harper and Finley Lockwood as the sub-trusts.
