Greta Van Fleet frontman Josh Kiszka revealed the truth about his sexuality amid the speculations surrounding it.
Kiszka sparked rumors for years since he debuted with Greta Van Fleet in 2012, and he finally addressed the talks following the proposed bills in Tennessee that affect LGBTQ+ rights.
Greta Van Fleet Josh Kiszka Confirms Relationship
In a recent Instagram post, Kiszka spoke out about the legislators' proposed bills that would affect LGBTQ+ rights in the state and the members' "freedom to love," saying he decided to break his silence to speak the truth and witness change.
The frontman divulged he has been in a same-sex relationship for eight years. While he did not reveal who his lover is, he explained why it is important for him to share it publicly.
"But there is still work to be done for LGBTQ+ rights in TN, the nation, and the world," he wrote. "In response to the exceptional support from my last post, I wanted to share how we can all continue to advocate for this valiant cause."

Kiszka continued his statement, adding that the community is a "cultural pillar" that has been promoting positivity and acceptance in different ways while showing how to love deeper.
The frontman voiced out his concerns after several musicians - even those who are non-LGBTQ+ members - showed disapproval over a restrictive drag bill. The Tennessee Senate recently passed SB 1440 bill that discriminates against the members of the LGBTQ+ community in the state.
The Human Rights Campaign has since condemned the bill that would have a "disproportionate impact," especially on transgender people and other community members.
Greta Van Fleet's New Album
Kiszka's coming out moment happened ahead of Greta Van Fleet's new album release in July.
The follow-up to "The Battle At Garden's Gate," titled "Starcatcher," will arrive on July 21 and present a total of 10 songs, including the already-presented single "Meeting the Master."
The other tracks are "Fate of the Faithful," "Waited All Your Life," "The Falling Sky," "Sacred The Thread," "Runway Blues," "The Indigo Streak," "Frozen Light," "The Archer," and "Farewell for Now."
Bassist Sam Kiszka said the album allowed Greta Van Fleet to "go back to the days in the garage" conceptually.
