Fans are excited for this year's Glastonbury Music Festival as the annual event would feature some of the biggest stars from the past decades as well as newer artists. For 2023, Guns N' Roses are set to perform as one of the headliners. However, Noel Gallagher is against it; find out why.
According to Loudwire, the American rock legends would be the main stage headliner for the penultimate night this weekend, June 24.
However, speaking with Daily Star's "Wired" column, the former Oasis member said he was shocked when he found out the news regarding the band's performance for this year. (via NME)
"I thought, 'What? Are you being serious? That's crazy s***,'" he said.
Why Noel Gallagher is Against Guns N' Roses Performing at Glastonbury 2023
The reason why Gallagher is against the group's addition to the lineup is that he wanted a British band to perform instead of anyone outside of the United Kingdom.
"When you think of all the huge British artists who've had albums out this past year, having Guns N' Roses headlining the Saturday is mad," he added.
Guns N' Roses might be a part of the show this year but most headliners are actually British like Arctic Monkeys, who are set to hit the main stage on June 23, and Elton John on June 25.

For the musician's part, this was not the first time he openly expressed his true feelings over one of the artists that were scheduled to perform.
The unapologetic singer took a dig at Jay-Z, saying people weren't going to go to the music festival in 2008 as he was one of the headlining performers.
As a result, the rapper hit back by performing "Wonderwall" by Oasis during his set.
Why is Noel Gallagher Not Performing at Glastonbury 2023?
Noel Gallagher performed at Glastonbury Music Festival last year and he's not part of this year's official lineup.
Elsewhere in the conversation, the singer said it would have been smart to play at the music event this year but he just performed with his band last year.
The singer was initially scheduled to play in 2020, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, things were "pushed back."
Even though he's not making an appearance this year, Gallagher said there's "always next year to go back" as he is not going anywhere.
