Madonna is reportedly on the mend after her discharge from the hospital where she was admitted due to bacterial infection. Still, her doctors and close friends are concerned about her condition.
News about Madonna's sudden hospitalization emerged Wednesday, confirming that the pop diva was admitted to an intensive care unit over the weekend where she was also said to have been intubated due to a serious infection.
Fans became more worried as reports regarding her family "preparing for the worst" emerged. The update regarding her discharge took their anxieties away, but there is still a concern for the singer after all things that happened.
Madonna's Health Still Concerning?
Unnamed sources told a news outlet that Madonna still worries everyone despite starting her recovery from the bacterial infection due to the possibility of her pushing her Celebration Tour as soon as possible.
Her doctors, families, and friends believe she might not follow her medical orders as part of her recuperation, although she has been tasked to focus on her health for now.
One of the insiders said the "Material Girl" hitmaker aims to get back to work "too soon," which might cause her to overlook her health again. Although her manager, Guy Oseary, assured everyone that her health is improving, things might get worse due to her nonstop schedule.
It was also revealed that Madonna endured a low-grade fever in order to prepare for her tour, but it caused her body to give up and require medical care immediately. Sources explained that she opted to continue her rehearsals despite her health concern, but it ultimately worsened as it was left untreated.
In addition, multiple news outlets now refer to the health ordeal as a wake-up call for Madonna after "wearing herself thin" for months leading to the recent incident. Mirror UK cited a relative's statement in which they suggested that her hospitalization should serve as a reminder to the singer to take care of herself even more.
Madonna Looked Healthy Before Hospitalization
Following Madonna's hospital discharge, Daily Mail shared exclusive images of the 64-year-old attending the Karl Lagerfeld exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum in Manhattan hours before she was found unresponsive.
Madonna looked comfortable at that time with her assistant and one of her dancers, but her health shifted, that she became too sick to get out of her bed and reportedly started vomiting since her hospitalization.
