Just a day before being admitted to the ICU with a serious bacterial infection, Madonna was seen strolling around New York City alongside some friends.
The group had stopped at a fashion exhibition before her health suddenly deteriorated and required her to be "intubated."
Just hours before reports of her collapse, Madonna was photographed visiting the Karl Lagerfeld exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum with a group of friends.
The Daily Mail has obtained exclusive pictures of the 64-year-old singer accompanied by her assistant and one of her dancers.
In the pictures of Madonna, she appears to be laid-back and at ease, wearing an incognito combination of sweatpants, athletic shoes, sunglasses, and a baseball cap.
Despite this, however, TMZ reported today that since she was admitted to the hospital, Madonna had been feeling so ill that she hadn't left her bed and has experienced bouts of intense vomiting.
Previous reports revealed that for around a month before her unexpected hospitalization, she had been experiencing a low-grade fever.
It appears that the pop star mostly disregarded her symptoms and never consulted a physician as she was intensely concentrating on making plans for her tour, which has now been suspended because of her health issues.
According to TMZ, it's been reported that those around the singer are worried she may ignore medical advice and try to jumpstart her tour too quickly.

The doctors think a left untreated fever indicated her illness, which has since become worse. Furthermore, they fear she won't follow their instructions for recovery.
Madonna appeared quite resistant to being admitted to the hospital, concerned it could disrupt her tour plans. Allegedly she was "kicking and screaming," metaphorically speaking.
In preparation for her tour, it is clear that Madonna has been hard at work.
Jose Xtravaganza, who used to be her backup dancer, spoke with the Daily Mail and revealed the singer had dedicated six days a week for months to guarantee all parts of the Celebration performances were flawless.
According to Jose, "Rehearsals are six days a week from what I hear... the only day off is Sunday."
The talented choreographer expressed his anticipation for the upcoming show. He commented that it would be full of costumes and many dancers - compared to just seven when they went on tour. It is suggested that there could now be anywhere from fifteen to twenty performers involved.
