Darius Danesh Real Cause of Death Revealed By Own Girlfriend

It was back in August 2022 when Darius Campbell Danesh shocked people when he was found lifeless in his hotel room in Minnesota. The Scottish Pop Idol was 40 when he passed away.

Back then the details of Darius Danesh's death were fuzzy, as conflicting cause of death was disclosed to the media. Now, 10 months after his death, Darius Danesh's real cause of death is now revealed.

According to NME Magazine, the initial reason for Darius Danesh's death back then was attributed to "inhalation of chloroethane" and "suffocation."

10 months after his death, Laureen Cheek, Darius Danesh's girlfriend, spoke to The Sun and confirmed his real cause of death.

Apparently, Darius Danesh's real cause of death was attributed to an "undetected condition" that cause his heart to swell twice its normal size.

"Darius was living with this heart condition that he didn't know he had," Cheek told the outlet. "His mum told me they only found out after they did the autopsy. His heart was twice the size it was supposed to be..."

Per Cheek, the whole ordeal was "fitting" as it reflected the personality of the singer, saying it was because "he had so much love."

The swelling of Darius Danesh's heart mixed with the inhalation of chloroethane ultimately killed Darius Danesh.

More so, the autopsy revealed that Danesh had a broken neck back in 2010 when he was involved in a car crash with "Olympus Has Fallen" actor Gerard Butler. Cheek confirmed that since then, Danesh refused to treat the neck injury and he has been using chloroethane to treat the pain as opposed to taking pills and even aspirin.

"I don't think it ever fully healed and then he rebroke it because he got hit by a car in London a year or two before he died when he was riding a bike," Cheek added.

Back then it was a mystery where Cheek got the chloroethane from. But with the autopsy coming into light and Cheek confirming the details, it is now clearer than ever what caused Darius Danesh's death.

Meanwhile, Danesh's family was nothing but grateful for the outpouring of support from Danesh's fans, followers, and other industry friends, including Simon Cowell.

"We would like to thank everyone for their love and kindness and ask that the family's privacy is maintained during this difficult time," they said at the time as quoted by NME.
