In the past few months, the headlines were all about Matty Healy and his reported problematic behavior and statements. Among these were his racist comments and remarks against Ice Spice, which got people questioning the authenticity of Taylor Swift, who was his girlfriend for a short period of time, and Ice Spice's collaboration.
Healy has been dragged and slammed by many because of his behavior and statements. At the time, he was unfazed and unapologetic, but now, it seemed like The 1975 vocalist had a change of heart.

It is a culture in every The 1975 concert where Matty Healy addresses the crowd, sometimes he would pull some weird stint on stage, and on some occasions, it is a heartfelt message - it was the latter on his most recent London show.
Explaining himself, Healy said he's a normal person who messes up.
"I was always trying stuff and some stuff I got right and some stuff I got wrong," he confessed. "But you know what, there's a lot of things that I've said, jokes that I've made, that I would take back. You know what, there's probably a couple of f------ songs that I'd take back if I had the choice."
Although Healy did not specifically name these "jokes" that he made, everyone seemed to know what he was referring to.
Elsewhere in his message to the crowd, Healy emphasized that his goal and "favorite art" was just to make his fans "laugh and feel good," although at the expense of someone.
"I'm not a nonchalant person. I'm not somebody who takes things for granted, so I was excited and The 1975 isn't a dry band, there's a lot of irony in it," he went on to say.
Matty Healy Racist Remarks Against Ice Spice
Earlier this year, Matty Healy appeared on the Adam Friedland Podcast and made jokes and statements about Ice Spice and her ethnicity. Although Healy did not make the joke, many fans were appalled that he laughed about it.
In one of his concerts, the singer unapologetically apologized to Ice Spice, saying that he loves her. In an interview with The New Yorker, Healy doubled down on his unapologetic behavior.
"It doesn't actually matter. Nobody is sitting there at night slumped at their computer, and their boyfriend comes over and goes, 'What's wrong, darling?' and they go, 'It's just this thing with Matty Healy.' That doesn't happen," he said at the time.
