Even though Elton John hasn't fully reached the end of the yellow brick road, he has already set a historic record. The music icon is now considered to be the first artist in music and touring history to have reached the $900 million mark.

Ed Sheeran's "Divide" Tour initially held the mark with $776,200,000, but John has finally surpassed him this time!

Elton John 'Yellow Brick Road' Tour Boxscore Record

According to a Billboard Pro report, Billboard Boxscore figures reveal that Elton John "Yellow Brick Road" tour has now grossed $910.4 million through June 18. It is now the first ever tour in music and touring history to ever breach the $900 million mark.

Notably, Sheeran grossed $776.4 million and U2 with $736.4 million, John closed the gap with around $134 million.

John recently capped off his last UK live performance at the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival 2023 by packing the entire Worthy Farm with festivalgoers. Thousands of people flocked to the farm to witness the Rocketman perform his hits one last time in the United Kingdom.

After his Glastonbury Festival stint, John is set to take on his last string of shows in Europe. The recent data was added after his Manchester and Birmingham shows were finally crunched.

So far, there are eight more shows to be computed, and the publication projects he would add another $15 to $20 million dollars more to his already history-setting accomplishment.

Taylor Swift 'The Eras' Tour vs Elton John 'Farewell Yellow Brick' Tour

Meanwhile, Elton John might be holding that feat only until 2024 after Swift's full numbers for "The Eras" tour were computed. Pollstar has already projected that Swift would hit the billion mark for her "The Eras" tour.

The report says that Swift would reach a total of $1.4 billion in revenue as she finishes her tour in 2024.

Now that she added more dates to her European tour, Swift would surely surpass more than what was expected of her. Swift recently sold out the presale of her 6-day concert in Singapore with more than a million people queuing the virtual sale. The entire sale was sold out for 3 hours. (via PhilStar Life)

Meanwhile, a general sale is still expected to take place on Jul. 7, 2023.
