The 50 Cent/Floyd Mayweather saga notched another memorable moment Friday when 50 visited LA's Power 106.
It's been a marathon back-and-forth session between the two acquaintances, but things appeared to be cooling off before 50 dropped what seems to be a challenge.
"Like I always say, he's like my younger brother. But if he says something, I'm gonna respond to it, because I think he thinks he can say anything and do anything publicly," said 50. "Like he'll do thing and then take it back. You see how he said to T.I., he slept with his girl. Then he said he didn't say that, he was just kidding. He's like that....Champ got a lot of different things with him. Don't get it twisted at all, he's still the best fighter. He won't kick my ass. I'm 220, b. I'm 220 right now."
XXL points out that 50 was on the radio promoting G-Unit's surprise EP The Beauty of Independence, which hit the Internet this week.
The Queens rapper started the nation's hottest feud last weekend when he brought Mayweather's supposed illiteracy to the limelight. Several barbs have been traded back and forth since, and today's radio interview adds another chapter.
Three days ago, 50 helped G-Unit drop the single "Ahhh Sh-t," which features the following hook:
Now why the f--- did you call them cops? (Ahhh sh--)
Put your hands up you still getting shot (Ahhh sh--)
Here they come now, they out on patrol (Ahhh sh--)
They killed a few, they finna killa some more
Before The Beauty of Independence — which dropped Sunday night after the VMAs — the group hadn't released anything since 2008's T.O.S: Terminate On Sight.
