Bob Marley's biopic is officially coming to big screens, and here's everything fans need to know about the flick, "Bob Marley: One Love."
The success of musicians' biopics led creators to brainstorm and create more related content for fans, especially after the warm receptions for Freddie Mercury's "Bohemian Rhapsody," Elvis Presley's "Elvis," and Elton John's "Rocketman," to name a few.
The next biopic will explore Marley's life and career, and the creators of "Bob Marley: One Love" officially dropped more details about the upcoming big-screen flick.

Paramount Pictures confirmed that Kingsley Ben-Adir would play the titular role of the late Jamaican reggae icon, while Lashana Lynch would star as the singer's wife, Rita.
According to the IMDb of the series, "Bob Marley: One Love" will also feature Sundra Oakley, Umi Myers, Nestor Aaron Absera, Hector Donald Lewis, Cornelius Grant, and Aston Barrett Jr.
Meanwhile, James Norton, Michael Gandolfini, Anthony Welsh, Tosin Cole, and Nadine Marshall are said to be included on board for yet-to-be-confirmed roles.

The production company also disclosed the movie's official synopsis at the same time it unveiled the first trailer.
"Bob Marley: One Love celebrates the life and music of an icon who inspired generations through his message of love and unity," the synopsis reads. "On the big screen for the first time, discover Bob's powerful story of overcoming adversity and the journey behind his revolutionary music."

Marley's fans and supporters scored the first sneak peek of the biopic Thursday when Paramount Pictures unveiled its official trailer.
The nearly 3-minute-long teaser explores Marley's humble beginnings and his early career as a musician before he rose to fame as a reggae artist. It also includes his famous message, "one love, one heart, one destiny," before the trailer pans out and shows the title and release date of the biopic.

The official trailer showed that Marley's biopic would be released in 2024, but People confirmed that the exact release date set as of press time is Jan. 12, 2024.
"King Richard" director Reinaldo Marcus Green is set to direct the movie, while the screenplay writer of his directorial debut - Zach Baylin - also worked on the script for Marley's biopic.
