Victor Wembanyama, the recent addition to the lineup of the renowned NBA team, the Spurs, exclaimed on Thursday that while walking into a restaurant at a prominent Las Vegas casino, he felt a tug from behind and was shocked to soon realize it was none other than pop icon Britney Spears.
But authorities have ruled that no criminal action will be taken against the security guard of the basketball star following his "altercation" with the "Toxic" singer, Page Six has verified this information.
On Friday, Page Six was given an update on the police report regarding Britney and her bodyguard. The officer reported that it had been decided that no arrest or citation would be issued as there was no evidence of willful or unlawful force or violence being used.
A police report obtained by the outlet said that the decision not to file anything against the security was "because [the bodyguard] did not willfully or unlawfully use any force or violence upon Britney and probable cause did not exist an arrest was not made and a citation was not given."
Britney Spears Slapped
News of the debacle that occurred on Wednesday night quickly spread when the details were released by TMZ.
Reportedly, the "Womanizer" singer was in the company of four others as she attempted to make her way into the eatery and encountered an onslaught of fans once inside.
Similarly, information from the outlet relayed Britney's confrontation with Victor Wembanyama; they commented that she tapped his shoulder only for him to swing back striking her face and dislodging her glasses.
Hours after the incident, Victor learned that Britney was the one who had grabbed him; however, during it all, he never actually saw her.
After filing a report with Las Vegas police, Britney took to Twitter and Instagram to express her sentiments on the incident. In her posts, she referred to it as "super embarrassing" and denied any grasping of Victor's body parts, stating that she simply "tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention".
It was that moment when the woman noticed the number one pick in this year's NBA draft, a colossal 7-foot-3 French power player who has been gaining as much attention as LeBron James had two decades ago. Feeling inspired, Britney decided to walk up and congratulate him on his accomplishment.
According to the "Baby One More Time" singer, "[Victor's] security then backhanded me in the face without looking back, in front of a crowd. Nearly knocking me down and causing my glasses off my face."
