Britney Spears continues to discuss the physical altercation she had with Victor Wembanyama's security officer. She appears to be triggered by comments claiming she's playing the victim and making a mountain out of a molehill.
In her defense, she said she's doing none of these but just sharing what she feels and what she has experienced so far in the US, given her own colorful career and personal life. The pop star posted a lengthy message about the incident after police confirmed they will not be filing charges against the security guard who Spears claimed struck her in the face when she attempted to get Wembanyama's attention in a Las Vegas hotel lobby on July 5.
She said that she worked in the industry for years and have met some of the most famous people in the world BUT never witnessed a security guard assaulting another person.
The 41-year-old continued that she's not saying all these just to make myself look like a victim. In fact, she said she understands the situation perfectly. Still, it does not mean she did not feel hurt.
Spears, who was in a 13-year conservatorship before it was terminated in 2021, explained that she "felt impotent in most situations" throughout her life and stated, that her experience in Las Vegas and he reaction was a cry out on all levels.
"No, I don't feel like I have been treated as an equal person in this country," the singer added, noting she has no beef with Wembanyama. "Either way I'm still a huge fan of the NBA player ... it's not his faulthis security hit me ... s--t happens!!!"
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department previously verified to E! News that officers responded to a battery investigation in the 3700 block of Las Vegas Boulevard, but neither an arrest nor citations were made.
Meanwhile, this past weekend, as reported by TMZ, Victor Wembanyama was asked directly if he intends to repent to Britney Spears after one of his bodyguards struck her, and his response was revealing. The young basketball prodigy was in Las Vegas on Saturday for NBA Con, and it appears that Wemby stopped by a local gym to say hello to some young hoopers and adoring fans... who utterly mobbed him on his way out.
There have been conflicting reports regarding whether the security guard apologized; but a statement Spears released suggests otherwise, as she appears to want more from Wemby and the Spurs. Regardless, the man does not answer the query and continues speaking. Assuming he heard it, it's clear he no longer feels like answering that question, which is already quite telling.
