The drama continues to unfold after Britney Spears alleged that security for the NBA's Victor Wembanyama had slapped her when she was trying to greet him.

However, upon further investigation, Las Vegas Police allege that the "Baby One More Time" singer struck herself in the face as the guard attempted to remove her hand from his person.

Despite the lack of criminal charges, a person close to Spears says she still feels she is owed an apology for the security guard's "disgusting" conduct. The source shared this information with Daily Mail.

The released video of the incident has caused a stir amongst internet users. While many criticized Britney for "overreacting," her loyal supporters defended her and blamed the security guard instead for his "aggressive" actions.

This past Friday, Britney Spears spoke out about her experiences in this country.

She noted that she had not been treated as an equal person and did not wish to be seen as a victim either.

Along with Wembanyama's statement of what occurred, the pop princess also wrote about the "traumatic experience" that she faced and demanded a "public apology" from Wembanyama, the Spurs, and security personnel connected to the incident via Instagram.

KTVN13 has obtained a report outlining details of an incident involving Britney, where it is reported that "on surveillance footage, Britney can be seen attempting to tap a Spurs player on their shoulder. In response, [a security guard] pushed her hand away without taking any regard for who he was pushing, and as a result, Britney ended up hitting herself in her face."

An investigation conducted by officers of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) into a reported battery in front of 3700 Las Vegas Boulevard on July 5, 2023, at 11 PM has come to an end with no charges being made against those involved.

This finding seems to be validated by video footage circulated online that was posted later that same evening.

The video of the incident was quickly released by TMZ, showing Britney Spears, 41, catching up to 19-year-old Wembanyama at the entrance of Catch restaurant in ARIA Hotel. In it, Britney shouts "Sir!"

The interaction between Wembanyama and Britney is unclear in the footage, all that can tell is that suddenly a security guard's arm appears between them as the singer moves to pat the basketball player on the back.

The aftermath of this brief encounter lies bare with Britney's eyeglasses flying off her face.

A police report obtained by People magazine has unveiled the shocking details of an incident involving the athlete's security and Britney.

The report claims that when the security officer tried to push away Britney's hand from another individual, he applied an excessive amount of force which caused the hand to hit her face and knock off her sunglasses.

Meanwhile, reports about Britney hitting herself in the face sparked a massive online discussion.

One Twitter user attempted to make light of the situation by joking: "Oops, I just hit myself in the face without any help from bodyguards! Can I use this as a defense next time I'm accused of getting into a fight? Your Honor, he just started clobbering himself for some unknown reason."

Another commenter remarked, "When she reached out to someone who wanted their space respected, security stepped in and her hand ended up striking her face. Had she not sought contact with a stranger in a public setting this wouldn't have happened."

An individual on the internet had a different view of the situation, remarking, "Britney Spears stepped out of line trying to implicate someone else in her actions. She was attempting to dodge responsibility for what she did - that's not only deceitful but hurtful."
