It seems like Tory Lanez really has the ick for people who are named Megan as Meghann Cuniff, a California-based legal affairs journalist was on the receiving end of attacks not only from Tory Lanez's uninformed fans but also from his legal team as well.

Cuniff has been covering Lanez's trial since the beginning, objectively reporting the latest court happenings and providing context to things that are too complex for simple minds to absorb.

However, Tory Lanez's camp is now discrediting her reporting.

Tory Lanez Calls Reporter 'Extremely Biased' Ahead

In an Instagram story posted on Lanez's account by his legal team, they ominously dropped a huge and damaging accusation.

"With all due respect ... Please disregard anything Meghann Cuniff reports on Tory Lanez ... her objective, perspective/narrative has always been negative and extremely biased towards him ... if there is an update on Tory, it will come from this page first. If it doesn't come from this page, it's not real," the post read.

Unbeknownst to many, The Umbrella, as per AllHipHop, is "the entity representing Lanez's interests."

Cuniff was in the courtroom yesterday when The Umbrella posted on Lanez's behalf. Apparently, Lanez was asking the judge to substitute a lawyer. He wanted to have his former lawyer Matthew Barhom replaced by Ronda Dixon. However, the judge did not approve the situation. Cunniff reported the same information on her blog.

Reporters Fire Back on Tory Lanez

James Quelly, another journalist reporting the Tory Lanez trial defended Cuniff.

"The attacks on @meghanncuniff from Lanez and his supporters stay absurd, largely launched by people who don't understand a thing about courts or journalism. There's no bias. We both cover hundreds of cases a year. Literally don't have time to have an opinion about defendants," he said in a Tweet.

Cuniff even pointed out that he wished Lanez should have tagged her directly, or even spelled her name correctly.

Others expressed support for Cuniff, mocking Lanez and their last-ditch attempts to delay the trial and turn public opinion to their side.

"I hope this is factored into his sentencing too, he's continuing to spread misinformation to attempt to muddy the facts of this settled case. And the funniest part, none of it matters bc he getting sentenced no matter what he does atp," someone wrote.
