The cause of death of Lisa Marie Presley has been identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner's report.
The cause is reported to be small bowel obstruction and its complications.
As per TMZ reports, the coroner listed the exact condition as "sequelae of small bowel obstruction."
The results of the autopsy, though, determined that the opioids in her system were not a contributing factor to her passing.
Lisa Marie Presley Toxicology Report
The toxicology report concerning Lisa Marie Presley's death has revealed the presence of opioids and other medications in her system at the time of passing.
Analyses revealed traces of Quetiapine, an antipsychotic medication, along with buprenorphine, which is a drug used for both pain management as well as to treat opioid addiction.
Confirmation by the coroner's office has put to rest any speculation that narcotics were involved in Lisa Marie's medical emergency earlier this year.
The incident, which occurred at her home while paramedics were performing CPR, was initially reported as being due to possible cardiac arrest.
Lisa Marie Presley Cause of Death
Results from her toxicology report show Lisa Marie Presley had a blend of drugs in her system.
Oxycodone was present at therapeutic levels, as well as Buprenorphine, which is used to fight opioid abuse.
This combination can lead to constipation and eventually cause bowel obstruction - identified as being what resulted in her passing away.
Traces of Quetiapine, an antipsychotic drug, were also found.
The cause of the bowel obstruction was identified to be adhesion due to a gastric bypass procedure conducted many years ago. This adhesion resulted in a strangulated small bowel. Lisa Marie Presley had a cosmetic procedure shortly before her passing. These details add further context to TMZ's previous story about her death.
Furthermore, she was allegedly prescribed opioids following this, and it appears that overmedicating was an issue for her.
When paramedics were called to Lisa Marie's home, no items related to drugs or narcotics were uncovered.
On arriving at the hospital, she suffered a heart attack and her urine sample results showed that there were no toxins present.
As stated in the toxicology report, "The obstruction was in the form of a strangulated small bowel caused by adhesions that developed after bariatric surgery years ago. This is a known long-term complication of this type of surgery."
