It has been rumored that the Spice Girls will come together again to mark their 30th anniversary with a special performance at Glastonbury's Worthy Farm next year.
It has even been claimed that Victoria Beckham, who didn't want to perform with the 90s band ever since making a name in the fashion industry and marrying David Beckham, will be joining them, according to The Sun.
The last time she joined them was during the 2012 Olympics.
The Daily Mail recently reported that despite rumors to the contrary, Victoria Beckham will not be taking on her iconic Posh Spice persona for the upcoming Glastonbury Festival.
Instead, she is concentrating on developing her fashion line.
Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Mel Brown, and Mel Chisholm have all provisionally agreed to a tour in 2024.
The outlet has reported that a source with knowledge of Victoria's plans revealed that, despite passionate requests from her fans, the singer will not be rejoining her band in the coming year.
As one source explained: "Glastonbury is possibly the coolest gig on the planet, but her work is something she's committed to and needs to give careful thought before singing again."
It has been reported that Victoria endured many critiques regarding her singing during her time in a girl band, yet she remains proud of her accomplishments.
Despite past ridicule, she chooses to look back fondly on this period in her life.
The insider further noted: "While her years with the Spice Girls are a source of nostalgia for her, she hasn't excluded the possibility of marking the occasion with a one-time celebration. However, it appears that Glastonbury is not particularly enthused about hosting the group without Posh as this would diminish its attraction."
In stark contrast to a statement yesterday from a source close to her, Victoria's sudden step away from joining her Spice Girls bandmates appears almost like an about-face.
Per that source: "For quite some time now, only four of them have been actively involved, yet this momentous occasion of 30 years of girl power has sparked renewed enthusiasm for Victoria's involvement."
Reports suggest that it has been difficult to bring the five together due to their jam-packed schedules.
However, over the past half-year, there have been more opportunities for them to meet as a quintet than since the 2012 Olympics.
Next year Victoria Beckham will be commemorating a big milestone - her 50th birthday - which also corresponds with 30 years since Spice Girls formed.
Because of this, there is speculation that she may reprise her iconic role as Posh Spice to celebrate these momentous occasions. But it may not be the case this time.
Fans will only have to wait and see.
