Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez's split did not happen overnight, as the now-ex-couple reportedly showed signs before they ultimately called it quits.
Eagle-eyed fans sparked rumors after they spotted Grande attending Wimbledon without wearing her engagement ring and wedding band. The actress-singer, who is in London to film the upcoming "Wicked" adaptation, previously shut down split buzzes when she also did not wear her rings in one of her TikTok videos in August 2022.
Ariana Grande, Dalton Gomez Already Broke Up Months Ago?
A news outlet released an exclusive report about Grande and Gomez's separation, citing a source's statement claiming that the former couple called it quits in January.
According to the unnamed insider, the ex-lovers - who got married in May 2021 - are now heading to divorce after trying to reconcile and save their relationship but failed. But before the recent revelation, both Grande and Gomez reportedly showed signs their relationship hit rock bottom over the past months.
Earlier this year, the 30-year-old "Thank U, Next" singer left fans concerned as she appeared to have lost a significant amount of weight. Her fans speculated that she might be having marriage troubles that contributed to her weight loss, and the buzz sparked even more when she attended a Jeff Goldblum's jazz concert sans her rings.

Their relationship was tested even more when Grande scored Glinda's role in the film adaptation of "Wicked," with insiders saying that the project already took over her life. This also led her to lose time with her husband to focus on their relationship.
"Dalton is used to her career being a priority, [but] his patience has worn thin," a source said at that time. "He just wants his partner back."
However, things seemingly became unstoppable as the "7 Rings" hitmaker had another public outing without wearing her rings.
Ariana Grande, Dalton Gomez Want To Remain Best Friends
Before they officially split in January, sources claimed Grande and Gomez had already faced problems in the months prior. Though their friends and families tried to help them throughout the process, their attempts to save their marriage did not work out.
"They came to the decision together," an unnamed source said. "They were having problems before January, but they want to remain best friends."
The "Into You" singer has not addressed the split buzz directly yet, but their separation came over two years after her and Gomez's private wedding at her Montecito, California, home in May 2021.
