The marketing for the "Barbie" movie has been praised relentlessly on social media. Now, it has tapped into uncharted waters as Ryan Gosling's Ken gave BTS' Jimin his "guitar" as part of an "unspoken Ken code."
Critics have praised Gosling for his role as Ken in "Barbie," which was deemed worthy for an Oscar nomination by many of the movie's fans.
Ryan Gosling, Jimin 'Barbie' Interaction Explained
In a video released by the "Barbie" movie, Ryan Gosling explained that he noticed that the iconic Black Cowboy outfit he wore in the first part of the film was similar to the same outfit that Jimin wore on BTS' "Permission To Dance" music video.
"I have to give it to you, you wore it first. You definitely wore it best," he admitted. "And there's an unspoken Ken code that if you bite another Ken's style, you have to give them your most prized possession."
So in turn, Gosling gave Ken's guitar as his "humble offering." Channeling his character's energy, Gosling said this: "Besides, Ken doesn't really play anyways so it'll be much better in your hands."
Now, Jimin finally received the guitar that Gosling had given him and he responded in an Instagram video. Holding the guitar while sitting on a bench, Jimin congratulated Gosling for the splashing release of "Barbie" in theatres. "I could see that you look great in my outfit," he praised Gosling before thanking him. "Thank you for this guitar. I really love it and I look forward to watching Barbie. Go Barbie!"

Ryan Gosling 'Barbie' Performance, Worthy Of An Oscar?
According to Variety, Ryan Gosling's performance in "Barbie" might be worthy of an Oscar nod.
Gosling, although entering a new territory in comedy, was considered by the publication to be the "film's MVP."
"Gosling is a good sport to play the slightly predatory, sartorially helpless pretty boy, as the spray-tanned ex-Mouseketeer parodies his popular "hey girl" persona, flexing both his muscles and a range of facial expressions all but lacking from his recent work," the publication noted.
More so, Variety added that if Margot Robbie's portrayal of "Barbie" raised the bar for young women, then Gosling's Ken "reps an equally formidable male model, with his chiseled abs and cheekbones."
