Ice Nine Kills guitarist Dan Sugarman delivered good news about his health amid his cancer bout.

Sugarman missed several dates of the Ice Nine Kills' tour starting in April when he exited the leg following his thyroid cancer diagnosis. After a few months of staying out of the spotlight to focus on his treatment, the guitarist shared a new health update to take fans' worries away.

In a statement by Metal Sucks, Sugarman revealed he underwent surgery to remove a mass from his thyroid which his doctor detected months ago. The procedure was successful, and he expressed his gratitude for all the love and support fans sent to him amid his battle.

"With all of the orders that came through in support of my Thyroid Cancer discovery & recovery a few months ago, we didn't have the personnel required to handle such volumes of orders!" he said. "Update: don't worry, I had surgery and am 100% healthy and c-free!"

After Sugarman bowed out of the shows, Interloper's Miles Dimitri Baker and Bad Wolves' Doc Coyle filled in for him in the Ice Nine Kills tour, per ThePRP.

Fans can further help the musician in his treatments by supporting him through Sugarman Shop, Bloodline Cable, Murder Axe, and taking guitar lessons via his website, dansugarman.com/booknow.

It remains unknown whether he will rejoin the band for its remaining concert shows, with the next concert happening at Kemba Live! in Columbus on Aug. 8.

Dan Sugarman's Cancer Battle

Sugarman first opened up about his health issue in a video posted on his social media accounts. At that time, he revealed he discovered a lump on his neck that would require him to undergo treatment soon.

The guitarist soon went through biopsies and MRI tests until he finally received bad news from his doctor regarding his diagnosis.

"I have a team of incredible doctors that I trust in," he said when he announced his break. "We have a plan and I am ready to continue my healing surrounded by friends, family, loved ones and the amazing support of people like you."
