Though it came as a shock to many, Sinead O'Connor had been working towards something big in her life before her passing.

Reports from The Sun divulged that the beloved songstress had been readying herself to write music and go on tour.

Her friends were stunned by the tragedy that occurred in her home this Wednesday.

Just a few days before the death of "Nothing Compares 2 U" singer, 56-year-old Sinead O'Connor, she had been sharing her excitement about relocating to a $3,300 a-month apartment between Brixton and Herne Hill in South London.

In Sinead's final Facebook post, she detailed, "Hi all, recently moved back to London after 23 years absence. Very happy to be home."

"Soon finishing my album. Release early next year. Hopefully touring Australia and New Zealand toward the end of 2024. Europe, USA, and other territories beginning early 2025."

An informant revealed to The Sun that all appeared hopeful for Sinead's future.

Before her relocation to London, the singer was eager and enthusiastic about what lay ahead of her; she had even started creating new music. Unfortunately, the sudden news of her death came as an unbelievable surprise.

It has been only a couple of weeks since Sinead shared on Twitter that she was planning to attend a ballet performance being shown in movie theaters.

Sinead tweeted, "SO fuggin excited to go see Rudolf Nureyev's Don Quixote in 14 hours and 17 minutes. I mean, just, OM effin' G!!!"

Though she put on a brave face, it was clear that things weren't easy for her. On July 17, the heartbreaking news of her son Shane's death by suicide in 2022 broke out.

She confessed, "Lost my 17yr Old Son To Suicide in 2022. Been living as an undead night creature since. He was the love of my life, the lamp of my soul."

"We were one soul in two halves. He was the only person who ever loved me unconditionally. I am lost in the bardo without him."

At 11:18 AM on Wednesday, officers responded to a call about an unresponsive female found in the area. Sadly, she was pronounced dead once they arrived on site.

The post box outside her home had been filling up day by day with packages that were never collected.

The mystery of why she was leaving the windows wide open perplexed one neighbor, adding how it seemed absurd to them.

It may take several weeks before a post-mortem can provide answers, according to London Inner South Coroner's Court.
