It is possible that the FBI could be conducting a criminal investigation on rapper and former 2020 presidential candidate, Kanye West, following reports of him hiring alt-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos as his campaign manager.
Such an action would violate federal laws concerning foreign nationals being employed in political campaigns.
Incredibly, it is the "Donda" rapper's campaign committee treasurer and attorney who has reported a criminal accusation to authorities.
This crime is punishable with a sentence of up to five years in prison. Both federal bodies, including FEDs and Federal Election Commission (FEC), have already been apprised of this potential offense.
In recent months, sources have revealed that Kanye is dangerously close to violating the Federal Election Campaign Act.
Should he be found to have had knowledge of Yiannopoulos' immigration status and not taken steps to address the issue, then he could face charges related to conspiracy and aiding and abetting.
Bruce Fein, Committee Counsel who spoke to Radar Online, warned that partaking in any services from a foreign national could be classified as a criminal violation and bring severe consequences with it - not just civil ones. "It's a felony," Fein stated gravely. "And this is certainly no obscure provision in the election law."
Incredulous, committee treasurer, Devan White expressed disbelief that Kanye could not be familiar with Yiannopoulos' residency status.
To back up his claims, White presented the outlet with a copy of an internal memo dated July 19, 2023, which urged for evidence of the Brit's immigration position to be provided promptly.
White said, "We believe it would be virtually impossible at this point for (Kanye) not to be aware of that unless he is somewhere where he is incapacitated."
Fully understanding the severity of the violation, and provided he is not being coerced into participating, he needs to comprehend his potential involvement as a co-conspirator or accessory in breaking federal election laws by a foreigner.
Bruce Marks, the personal attorney of Kanye West, could not confirm the immigration status of Milo Yiannopoulos. When asked about this matter, Marks simply replied that "it is under investigation".
Marks was tight-lipped on the subject, simply noting "Any matters concerning Milo are being looked into - that's all I have to say."
He went on to acknowledge he is personally taking charge of the investigation.
In May, a political scandal erupted when Patrick Krason, who had formerly been a part of committee treasurer, stepped down after only six months on his job.
He claimed that Yiannopoulos was guilty of submitting false invoices to cover campaign expenses - this allegation was reported on Politico's website.
After handing in his resignation on May 8, 2023, Krason submitted a complaint to the FEC.
He reportedly declined to offer insight into what happened during his time there but was keen to express his opinion about Yiannopoulos' stance on immigration.
In a bid to find a suitable individual for the vital campaign position, Milo and Kanye decided to bring in White.

After White conducted a thorough audit of the committees' poor fiscal management, he quickly recruited Fein - an esteemed law specialist with 76 years of experience.
Most notably, Fein had been the senior policy advisor on former Texas Rep Ron Paul's 2012 presidential campaign.
Realizing the committee had neglected to execute standard federally ordered background investigations on their paid staff, which included social security card, passport, and proof of immigration status,
White launched an inquiry. "We've reached out to Milo 5,000 times now with no success!" exclaimed Fein as they contacted the FBI and FEC for support.
"If (West) is fully apprised of what's going on, and he knows Milo is a foreign national and does nothing to stop it and says 'OK go ahead' -- if that is true and he's not repudiating it.... it could make him vulnerable as a conspirator and an aider and abettor of a foreign national's participation in his political campaign - which is a crime," Fein said.
According to FEC rules, a foreign national must not in any way shape, or form influence decision-making processes concerning Federal or non-Federal election-related activities of corporations, labor organizations, political committees, or political organizations.
This includes dictating, controlling, or directly and indirectly participating in such decisions.
