Craig Morgan Reenters Military Reserve at 59 After Previous Enlistment [DETAILS]

Country singer Craig Morgan is serving the US again, but not as a singer.

Morgan confirmed that he would be reenlisting in Army Reserve after previously serving the unit and the Army for 17 years. With his return, he also shared his future in the music industry and revealed whether he would still be making music amid his service.

Craig Morgan Reenlists in Army Reserve

On Opry's Instagram page, a reel revealing that its member, Craig Morgan, officially reenlisted and sworn into the US Army Reserve on Saturday night. They made the announcement on stage in front of a sold-out audience at the Grand Ole Opry as the singer personally swore in person at the age of 59.

The "Almost Home" hitmaker also delivered a statement to Fox News Digital to detail the development and express his excitement to serve his country again.

"I'm excited to once again serve my country and be all I can be in hopes of encouraging others to be a part of something greater than ourselves," he said. "I love being an artist, but I consider it a true privilege and honor to work with what I believe are the greatest of Americans, my fellow soldiers."

Morgan's reenlistment followed his previous service in the Army and Army Reserve with the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions. According to Fox News Digital, the country singer notably became an E-6 Staff Sergeant and Fire Support Specialist while also getting certifications like Rappel Master and Airborne and Air Assault throughout his service.

The "How You Make a Man" hitmaker also worked with the USO in the past and gained the Army's Outstanding Civilian Service Medal and the USO Merit Award during his enlistment.

After Morgan swore in, he started the countdown to officially begin his duty as a Warrant officer and Staff Sergeant.

General Andrew Poppas, who spearheaded the ceremony at the Grand Ole Opry, penned a statement to Fox News Digital saying how the "Little Bit of Life" crooner would become the "best version" of himself like the other soldiers did.

He left a touching message to Morgan as he looks forward to seeing what the country singer can do and how he can impact other soldiers in the army as a Staff Sergeant and Warrant Officer.
