In a concerning Instagram post, Sam Asghari, actor and husband of Britney Spears, revealed the startling news that his mother had been involved in a "major accident" and needed to be taken immediately to the hospital.

Thankfully, however, he was able to assure fans that she was doing alright, according to Hollywood Life.

Saturday night, he expressed the utmost gratitude to the emergency personnel at Cedars-Sinai Hospital with an Instagram Stories post visible to 3 million followers.

The message read: "The staff of @cedarsinai handled a major incident involving my mother today and I am sincerely thankful for their efforts."

The 29-year-old actor and fitness trainer said, "She was taken to the emergency room. With the amzing [sic] help of the medical staff and some friends she's doing okay and resting it off."

No further details about what happened to Sam's mother had been provided.

Sam's parents, Fatima and Mike have always gone the extra mile for their son, having decided to emigrate from Iran to the US.

To commemorate this special connection, in 2018, a tender photo of his mum wrapped up in his arms was posted on social media with an accompanying caption that read: "She's not my sister, this is my beautiful mother."
