Over the past few months, there have been numerous cases of fans throwing random objects at artists while they perform on stage. It has become viral on social media and it appears that concertgoers haven't learned their lesson.
More recently, Dave Mustaine, popularly known for being a member of Megadeth, spoke out and shared his thoughts about the issue.
According to Loudwire, the musician has a fair share of hate from the crowd throughout his career. One of the most notable incidents of hate from audiences was during a show in Northern Ireland in 1988.
At the time, the singer had to flee the crowd as he reportedly offended them.
Dave Mustaine's Reaction to Fans Throwing Things at Musicians
In a recent interview with Sweden's SVT, as reported and translated by Blabbermouth, it seems like the singer is siding with the audiences who throw things on stage as he noted that it's possible for them to not get satisfied with what the artist is performing.
"If people don't like you, they're gonna throw s***... Maybe it's graduated from rotten tomatoes to d*****," he added.
The Megadeth frontman further noted that if a certain artist is giving them an amazing show, they won't throw things.
His message for artists? He told them not to get up acting like a "spoiled brat" and told their crowd not to throw things at them.
Regarding his band, Mustaine is confident that he has nothing to worry about it happening at their gigs. In addition, he also noted that his eyesight is bad and he "probably won't see anything flying through the air until it's too late."
