Sinead O'Connor's cause of death has not yet been revealed until now despite it being a week since she passed away.
The late music legend has been battling mental health issues for quite some time already, and it was reported that she was suffering from dread in the days leading up to her death.
Sinead O'Connor Autopsy Update
According to The Irish Times, the corner responsible for Sinead O'Connor's body has concluded his autopsy. London Inner South district for Southwark Coroners Court Clerk John Thompson confirmed to the publication that the autopsy was "conducted to secure a medical cause of death" before the body was released to the family.
However, Sinead O'Connor's cause of death won't be revealed until after "some weeks." Also, Sinead O'Connor's cause of death would not be publicly disclosed until only when an inquest would be opened.
Per the publication's initial report, O'Connor was found lifeless in her own home in Coldharbour Lane in Brixton on Jul. 26, 2023.
It is important to note that police have since ruled out her death to be "suspicious."
"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinéad," her family said in a statement. "Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time."
According to The Mirror, days before Sinead O'Connor passed away, a person has been stalking her.
"There is one stalker. Female," she said in a tweet. "Violent: again, NEVER engage with anyone claiming they know me without asking my management."
O'Connor's friend told The Sun how distressed she felt because of the female stalker. It also made her very uncomfortable since she just moved to London for a new life.

Sinead O'Connor Tributes Trashed
Following her death, Sinead O'Connor received tributes from various people online, especially celebrities and people from the music industry.
Lily Allen slammed these tributes. In a statement, she said: "It's hard not to feel incensed when there are so many people posting about Sinead and how fearless she was, people who would never in a million years align themselves with anybody who stood for something or had anything remotely controversial to say."
Notably, O'Connor infamously tore a photo of Pope John Paul II at a "Saturday Night Live" performance. People have since attributed that act to be the cause of her career's downfall. (via The New York Post)
