Three of Lizzo's former backup dancers have brought forth allegations of sexual harassment and a hostile work environment, resulting in a lawsuit against the singer.

Subsequently, she has been subjected to a high degree of criticism and condemnation.

The three plaintiffs filed a complaint against the "Truth Hurts" hitmaker, claiming that they had encountered weight-based discrimination while working with her.

They argued that the singer had asked some of the team to touch nude dancers at an Amsterdam strip club.

Lizzo was being sued for a range of allegations from religious and racial harassment, discrimination, false imprisonment, and body shaming. In particular, offensive conduct such as "catching dildos thrown out from performers' vaginas" or "eating bananas inserted in performers' vaginas" was supposedly encouraged by her.

Responding to the accusations brought forth by her three ex-dancers, Lizzo voiced her thoughts via Instagram this August 3rd.

"Usually I choose not to respond to false allegations but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous to not be addressed."

"These sensationalized stories are coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted that they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional."

In response to the allegations, Lizzo expressed that it was an "overwhelmingly disappointing" experience for her. Though many of her supporters stood behind her, a Public Relations professional felt less than satisfied with her handling of events.

Molly McPherson, a reputed public relations expert and crisis manager, carried out an in-depth analysis of the award-winning singer's reaction statement outlined across her social media posts.

She concluded that Lizzo was presenting herself as a casualty instead and asserted that the singer's team planned out an efficient way to release their statement by timing it with President Donald Trump's court appearance on Thursday.

Accordingly, this demonstrated that the "Juice" hitmaker was not taking responsibility for what had transpired.

The expert further claimed, "When you don't own up to whatever you are accused of or the allegations, you are putting yourself in the situation of deniability."

Molly continued by stressing the notion of a "victim mentality". According to her perspective, those facing sexual harassment charges are attempting to protect themselves through their expression of sexuality and value statements. To Molly, this helps reduce such allegations.

Lizzo allegedly attempted to bolster her tour ticket sales by addressing body shaming in her response statement.

By openly discussing sexuality and refusing to tolerate body shaming, it certainly seems as though the musician is trying to shape herself in a particular light, according to Molly.

She also believes Lizzo is sending a signal to her fanbase, in an attempt to rally their support and boost both ticket and album sales.

After Beyonce excluded the singer's name from a song shout-out, this initiative is intended to restore trust among fans and reinvigorate ticket sales. Molly said that this is the ultimate goal of Lizzo's call to action.
