Ed Sheeran Gender Reveal in Kansas City Concert
In a now-viral moment, Ed Sheeran had to stop his concert for a while at the Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
"My first gender reveal," he said in the caption on his Instagram account about the encounter.
Moments before he sings "Perfect," Sheeran said that he would stop first and try to do something for the first time.
Holding the envelope that contains the baby's gender, Sheeran scrambled through the paper before announcing that: "It's a girl!"
The camera then panned to the now-emotional mother, as he hugged her husband as they basked in the surreal moment.
"Can I just say, as a father of two daughters, this is very awesome," he added.
Many people online were also happy about the thrilling moment, expressing their love on Instagram.
"You could make a living off doing that!" one suggested.
"I was there it was the most heartwarming thing! There was a guy sitting in the nose bleeds with a sign that he pulled out during the song perfect that read "My fiancée should have been here today but he has passed and has a perfect seat now," another shared.
"This was the sweetest to witness in person. Congrats you two!" a user commented.
"Just came home from this show! It was so incredible! He stopped in the beginning of the song to do the reveal lol but it was definitely cute. Congrats to that couple!" someone wrote.
"That was a very surprising and special moment, not a proposal, but something new for a change," someone emphasized.

Ed Sheeran Daughters
In the past, Ed Sheeran has spoken fondly about his children. Speaking to Rolling Stone earlier this year, the Grammy-winning singer recalled how having his daughters gave him a deeper understanding of recalibrating his decisions in life.
"Two months before Lyra was born, Cherry said, 'If my waters break, do you really want someone else to drive me to the hospital?' he recalled. "Because I was just drinking a lot. And that's when it clicked. I was like, 'No, actually, I really don't.' And I don't ever want to be pissed holding my kid. Ever, ever."
