Megan Thee Stallion was ridiculed and jeered at for years after coming forward and accusing Tory Lanez of shooting her foot, but now, the "Body" rapper is vindicated and she wants all the "haters" to know.
During her performance at the Outside Lands Festival, Thee Stallion paused from performing to address the people who did not believe her story.
"I just want to say: f**k all my haters," the rapper said. "None of that s**t you was doing or saying broke me. None of that s**t y'all been doing and saying to the hotties broke them."
The Stallion also called out to her fans, whom she referred to as Hotties, for standing by her side and supporting her. "And I want all of the Hotties to put they mothaf**king middle fingers up right now."
This was Thee Stallion's first performance and appearance in public since her shooter was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Tory Lanez Sentenced to 10 Years For Shooting Megan Thee Stallion
According to reports, Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was received his verdict on Aug. 8. The judge presiding over the case, David Harriford, said that the prosecutors even asked for 13 years after he tried to "humiliate and re-traumatize the victim through his actions" as well as because of his "lack of remorse for his actions."
Sure enough, it does seem like Lanez is not even apologetic for shooting Thee Stallion even after he was sentenced.
He even issued a statement: "To The Umbrellas, I have never let a hard time intimidate me. I will never never let no jail time eliminate me,
"Regardless of how they try to spin my words, I have always maintained my innocence and I always will. This week in court I took responsibility for all verbal and intimate moments that I shared with the parties involved. That's it."
Megan Thee Stallion Faced the Haters
Thee Stallion's haters were not only Lanez's fans but fellow rappers and hip-hop artists as well.
Several of them tried to discredit her and mocked her, like Drake, who threw shade at her in his song "Circo Loco." He raps, "This b***h lie 'bout gettin' shots, but she still a stallion."
Joe Budden also made fun of Thee Stallion, however, he eventually apologized. "I'm apologizing for the careless manner in which I joked about her mental health. That didn't sit right with my soul and my spirit. Because whether you believe her or don't believe her, can you afford to be wrong? And the answer is no."
