Suzanne Somers called 911 after her recent health scare amid her new battle with cancer.

Somers and her husband, Alan Hamel, informed several news outlets about the singer-actress' renewed bout with cancer. She previously dealt with two hyperplasia, skin cancer, and breast cancer, before the dreaded illness returned this year.

Emergency Services Rush to Suzanne Somers Home After 911 Call

Somers sparked concerns recently after she called 911 to send responders to her Palm Springs home following a frightening health scare.

The 76-year-old "You Made Me Love You" singer told Page Six that she contacted the emergency health hotline over the weekend after her husband became alarmed by her blood pressure. They continued to feel distressed after taking more readings that were beyond the normal ranges.

According to Somers, her blood pressure had been normal over the past weeks they started measuring it every day. However, Sunday's result was different from the usual numbers they get.

"Alan got a reading on me he didn't like, but he took it again 8 or 10 more times to be sure," Somers said. "For the first time ever, we called 911."

An ambulance and firetruck arrived at her home, and the emergency health staff started identifying the cause until they detected that Somers was perfectly fine. They also found out that a simple machine error caused the false alarm.

After the health scare, Somers sent her love and gratitude to the responders for checking her status promptly.

Suzanne Somers' Health Issues

Somers and her husband also worried everyone when they revealed that the singer-actress battled cancer again.

Hamel told Page Six that his wife got an all-clear result, but they would still closely monitor because "cancer is tricky." He then helped her start an all-organic diet and chemical-free lifestyle to improve her health.

Meanwhile, Somers disclosed to Entertainment Tonight that her condition is a recurrence of her breast cancer.

"Like any cancer patient, when you get that's dreaded, 'It's back,' you get a pit in your stomach," the singer-actress said. "Then I put on my battle gear and go to war. This is a familiar battleground for me, and I'm very tough."

The "Out of Love With Love" singer is also recuperating from the injury she sustained after a 2020 fall at home.
