A lawsuit filed against Kevin Federline, Britney Spears' ex-husband, alleging that he owes her $15,000 in back tuition, has been dismissed.

West Valley Christian School, a private school in the Los Angeles area, filed paperwork this past Wednesday to end its civil lawsuit against Federline, 45, according to Page Six.

According to the source, prep school's attorney Ron Chow requested that the matter be dropped in Los Angeles Superior Court. The court dismissed the lawsuit 'with prejudice', barring the school from suing for the money in the future, and the non-jury trial that was scheduled for later was canceled.

Six children were born to Federline: sons Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden, 16, from his marriage to Spears, 41; daughters Jordan, 12, and Peyton, 9, with his wife Victoria Prince, 40; and daughters Kori, 21, and Kaleb, 19, from his relationship with former fiancée Shar Jackson, 46. Spears and Federline were married in October 2004; Spears requested a divorce in November 2006.

In August 2013, he married his present wife Prince; this month marks their ten-year wedding anniversary. The Fresno, California native and his spouse may have contributed some of the $15,593 toward the remaining sum for their daughters Jordan and Peyton, but it was unclear from the paperwork the outlet studied.

The pair had failed "to pay for services which had been provided on credit at their special instance and request," the school claimed in its initial legal filing on May 9. Federline and Prince "failed and refused... to pay all or any part of the remaining balance due," the school claimed in court documents, despite efforts to settle out of court. Earlier last month, Federline and Prince moved to Hawaii with their children, and Spears endorsed the decision.

The discovery of Federline's legal troubles comes less than a week after Sam Asghari, Spears' partner of 14 months, filed divorce papers in a Los Angeles County court on Wednesday, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause of the breakup.

When the pair, who were married at Spears' Thousand Oaks, California estate on June 9, 2022, parted ways, Asghari requested that Spears pay spousal support and his legal team.

Meanwhile, just days after her estranged spouse Sam Asghari filed for divorce, Britney Spears uploaded a seductive video of herself rolling around in bed topless. The "Toxic" singer was seen lounging on a white duvet with her hands covering her breasts in the Instagram video she released on Sunday.

She was only wearing pink leggings and black knee-high boots. The Annie Lennox song "I Put a Spell on You" was playing in the background while the Grammy-winning performer kicked her leg in the air. Spears, 41, limited her caption to the "" emoji.

Later, the "Gimme More" singer released a second clip from her night out with some guys, in which one of the guys licked her leg while she was wearing a green little dress and white knee-high boots.
