Priscilla Presley is still hurting months after her daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, died.
Elvis and Priscilla's only daughter died in January due to sequelae, or "a condition which is the consequence of a previous disease or injury," of small bowel obstruction. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner noted that adhesions caused the obstruction after she underwent a bariatric surgery years prior to her death.
Priscilla Presley Yet To Move On After Lisa Marie Presley's Death
On Tuesday, the matriarch sat for an interview for The Hollywood Reporter's cover story, during which she spoke about Sofia Coppola's upcoming film, "Priscilla." She also opened up about her grief, saying she still could not believe her daughter was gone.
According to Priscilla, she knew something was not right days before her daughter died. The mother-daughter went to the Chateau Marmont after attending the Golden Globe Awards, where Austin Butler, who portrayed Elvis, won Best Actor in a Drama for his role in Baz Luhrmann's "Elvis."
"I tripped a little bit because I had these high heels on, and she started laughing so hard. I started laughing," Priscilla said. "We hadn't even had a drink yet. She goes, 'Oh my God, Mom, you can't even have a drink.'"

She called it a "fun, fun memory" before they sat down to order drinks. However, Lisa Marie reportedly told her that her stomach hurt really bad at that time, leading them to leave the place.
Two days later, she received a call from Danny Keough about Lisa Marie's hospitalization, and she died hours later.
Priscilla expressed how heartbreaking it was, saying she does not wish any mother to go through what she experienced. She was also the person who had to pen a confirmation regarding Lisa Marie's death.
The late singer was laid to rest in Graceland next to her son, Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide in July 2020.
Lisa Marie Presley's Cause of Death Bombarded With Buzz
Following Lisa Marie's passing, experts talked about her health issues and compared her problems to what Elvis had before his death.
Sally Hoedel, an Elvis Historian, told The Sun that the bowel obstruction she suffered from was similar to the King of Rock and Roll's health status when he died.
"There is testimony to it being a problem for Elvis as a toddler and a teen, long before fame and prescription medication," the historian said. "This was also true for Lisa Marie, as her own testimony attests to it being known since childhood."
