In the days before their split, it's been reported that Britney Spears' husband, 29-year-old fitness model and actor Sam Asghari, pleaded with her to adhere to her regulated medication plan.
This revelation comes after Sam shockingly filed for divorce from Britney last week after 14 months of marriage.
Earlier last week, as news of their divorce surfaced after 14 months of marriage spread, reports indicated that the 29-year-old had been pushing for Britney to stick with a "regimented medication plan" leading up to the couple's split.
Although Sam has encouraged Britney Spears to take up therapy, it seems the star refused his pleas.
An insider told The Sun that the "Toxic" diva struggles to stay well without her medication.
Despite whatever statements she may have made to the conservatorship judge or her fans, it is evident that a strict and organized course of drugs is essential for her stability.
Although she had been removed from the conservatorship, the source revealed that managing her condition without medication has recently proven difficult. Certain behaviors have emerged from this, such as erraticness, violence, and danger.

Convinced that further help was necessary and wanting to ensure her mental health, it was with insistence that Sam reportedly pushed for her to take more proactive steps in addressing her issues.
The source added that first and foremost, Britney located a professional therapist outside of who she used previously, someone who could listen profoundly and guide her thoughts in a steadying manner.
"Sam's attempts at persuading her led to heated rows," said the source.
During her conservatorship, it was clear that Britney had an issue she needed to tackle - substance abuse.
As a result, one of the terms of her conservatorship was forgoing alcohol consumption.
This came after a period where both her medication and drinking habits were becoming more and more problematic.
According to an insider close to Britney Spears, her drinking habits have seriously influenced her mental health. Sam Asghari has repeatedly asked her to reduce alcohol consumption due to its effects on her emotional well-being. He also believes that she has been interested in experimenting with recreational drugs.
Sam was very concerned that it could have serious repercussions if his friend descended into a life of addiction, per the insider.
The plan for the intervention in the spring had been discussed, but Sam was apprehensive about how this might affect her.
