During her residency in Las Vegas, Adele encountered a terrifying moment when she unexpectedly collapsed backstage.

The 35-year-old renowned singer-songwriter shared that her entire body had to be lifted from the ground after being overcome with unbearable pain.

During a show at The Colosseum, Adele announced to the audience that she had experienced an attack of sciatica and was unable to move backstage.

This medical condition is caused by issues in the lower back, resulting in nerve pain throughout the leg.

At her latest :Weekends with Adele" concert, the artist informed her fans that "they picked my whole body up off the floor."

Supposedly, The Sun reported that Adele had to depart during a sciatica episode temporarily and confessed: "I am going to sit down and rest my sciatica."

As the "Rolling In The Deep" hitmaker stepped onto the stage, a hush fell across the crowd.

With a rueful smile, the singer admitted to her audience that it was true - all her gushing about recovering from chronic back pain had been premature.

Limping across the stage, Adele remarked: "I've only got two more [songs], but I have to get over to the other side first.

During a 2021 discussion with The Face, the "Someone Like You" diva opened up about her struggles with chronic back pain.

Adele revealed that she's had to endure the issue for years, and unfortunately, it often flares up due to stress or poor posture habits.

Expressing her delight with the results, she proclaimed: "I used never to have any strength in my lower abdomen, but now that I do, I feel like my back doesn't hurt as much. This allows me to enjoy running around with my child more!"

In 2019, Adele also underwent a significant transformation when she lost seven stone. This followed several health scares that made her feel like she might never perform again, making her determined to take better care of herself.

First starting in 2012, the London-born singer took drastic action by eliminating 10 cups of sugary tea daily and getting rid of alcohol, cigarettes, caffeine, and other foods with "spicy, citrusy, and tangy" flavors.

In 2011, she experienced a vocal hemorrhage, prompting her to take her voice more seriously. As she told Australia's "60 Minutes," "I don't think you realize the importance of your vocals until something like that happens."

She set out to shed extra weight to increase her stamina for an upcoming tour in 2016.

By 2017, Adele had noticeably lost an impressive two stone in weight due to her rigorous implementation of a new dietary plan - The Sirtfood Diet. This diet consists mainly of plant-based meals such as kale, buckwheat, green tea, and turmeric, among many other natural foods.
