Nicki Minaj is one of the artists and people who openly dislikes using artificial intelligence in replicating voices and adding them to tracks.

In a recent set of posts on Twitter/X, Minaj called on her Barbz to stop sharing such material as it would have long-term and definitive consequences for music labels and executives.

Nicki Minaj Shares Thoughts On Artificial Intelligence

In the past few months, the rise of AI-generated tracks has generated a buzz that had many artists giving mixed reactions to the technological advancement.

Nicki Minaj, the Queen of Rap, however, was on the side that openly disliked it.

In a two-tweet post on Twitter/X, Minaj shared her thoughts about sharing artificially generated music on social media.

"My babies yall know those AI verses & the lil fake news stories are apart of their budget right? If they can add your fave artist on a song w/o paying that artist," she said, before adding: "w/o paying publishing, (even when they NEED that artist), then that's what they'll do b/c once it goes viral, their job is done. all they want is the person's fanbase to keep posting it & attaching their name to the song. Then tadaaaaa !!!"

Nicki Minaj was added to several tracks through AI. Recently, a verse of her, all made through AI went viral online as it was added onto a Beyonce track.

Minaj warned the "Barbz" that sharing these posts would have a consequence, at least for her: "So posting stories that aren't confirmed by Onika Tanya or posting verses you know are using my voice but not wanting to cut the [check] ... will lead to exile from this day forth from the Castle ok boos? Love youuuuuuuuuuu ok now on to the next thing on the docket..."

Selena Gomez Reacts To AI

Very recently, Selena Gomez also reacted to a viral AI-generated track where her voice was flawlessly used in a remix of The Weeknd's "Starboy."

Notably, Gomez and The Weeknd dated before - hence, the connection.

Gomez had one word to describe the remix - "Scary" - and it pretty much encapsulates everyone's thought about the growing accuracy of Artificial Intelligence's use in replicating the voices of artists in the music industry.
