Ahead of the 50th anniversary of the musical supergroup's victory at the Eurovision Song Contest, Agnetha Faltskog has hinted at a potential ABBA reunion.
The 73-year-old vocalist, who played in the group with Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, seemed to imply something was in the works just in time for the concert to visit their home country of Sweden.
She told The Sun, "you never know anything about ABBA and when we're going to...." She also quickly added, "Well, I won't say anything about that. I'd rather be quiet."
This ran contrast to what another group member said of the possibility though.
In advance of the band's 50th anniversary of winning the Eurovision, Benny Andersson has ruled out an Abba reunion. A few of Abba fans were hoping for a reunion to commemorate the band's 50th anniversary of winning the competition in Brighton with Waterloo at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden. Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, along with bandmates Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, told BBC Newsnight they did not want to come together for Abba's Eurovision anniversary.
He actually said he does not want to and if he does not want to, then the others would say no too.
After participating in the 1973 competition, the group was propelled to superstardom and released eight studio albums before breaking up ten years later.
It comes after Agnetha's 'wonderful' new solo song was broadcast on the radio for the first time on Thursday, leaving fans overcome with emotion.
The singer, who joined Zoe Ball on BBC Radio 2, resurrected her solo career at the age of 73 with her first song in ten years, Where Do We Go From Here.
After the song's initial radio play, admirers raced to social media to applaud Agnetha and express their "tears in their eyes" reactions.
ABBA stood out for a variety of reasons. Not just for their distinctive, irresistible pop tunes, but also for the way they operated as a duo-coupled band. The foursome included Agnetha Faltskog and Bjorn Ulvaeus, who were already married, as well as Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, who were already dating at the time the group was founded in the early 1970s.

But in 1983, a few years after both marriages had broken up, ABBA called it quits after just under ten years of globally successful hits.
ABBA tried to make it work despite the divorces inside the band, but with such high stakes, especially since Bjorn and Agnetha also had children, it was destined to fail.
But who knows, right?
