On Wednesday, 50 Cent clarified that he had not aimed to hit one of his fans in the face with his microphone during his concert.
He stated that the incident was unintentional.
His lawyer, Scott Leemon, said, "Let's be very clear, as I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone."
He further told Page Six, "Anyone saying something different doesn't have all the facts and is misinformed."
Curtis James Jackson III, better known to the world by his hip-hop artist stage name, was recently found in a problematic predicament at the Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles.
After reportedly receiving broken mics to work with for his set, Page Six reported that he couldn't take it anymore and snapped them in two.
Shocking video captured by concertgoers shows the 48-year-old "In Da Club" rapper throwing a microphone violently into the crowd.
Unfortunately, Bryhana Monegain ended up on the receiving end of this haphazard missile and suffered a very severe injury to her head. As pictures obtained by TMZ demonstrate, she needed several stitches and gauze wrapping to treat the wound.
Horrifying images depict Monegain with her hands and shirt smeared in the blood from her facial wound.
A source connected to 50 stated that she was not allowed to be in the prohibited region, yet it is uncertain how this absolves him of his actions.
The Game Mocks Nemesis 50 Cent
The Game had no problem telling everyone his thoughts about the 50 Cent incident by cracking a joke at the Queens rapper's expense during his Final Lap Tour.
In light of the recent incident involving Fif, the Compton rapper swiftly took to his Instagram Story to offer his viewpoint.
The Game uploaded a video showing 50 Cent throwing the mic into the audience with an accompanying caption that reads: "Curtis, yo fat a** came to LA hittin women," followed by a curious emoji.
Not The First Time
This year has undoubtedly been remarkable for microphones, with Cardi B's experience being a prime example.
In early August of 2023, after getting splashed with liquid by an attendee in Las Vegas, the rapper retaliated by throwing her mic at them.
TMZ reported that a fan of Cardi B had retaliated by bringing battery charges against her, but after an investigation, these claims were dropped.
Cardi's legal team, including Drew Findling, David Chesnoff, and Richard Schonfeld, informed reporters that this case has been resolved and is now resolved.
