The singer left everyone emotional when she dropped the official music video of her latest single, "Used to Be Young," in which she looked back at her partying days. The song highlighted her thoughts that she is no longer the young person she was before.

On Friday, September 1, Miley Cyrus shared a new TikTok video as part of the series inspired by her new song. The part 20 revolved around the private moments in her life and career, including her relationship with Hemsworth.
After seeing a photo of herself kissing her ex-husband when they filmed "The Last Song" in 2010, the "Flower" hitmaker revealed that Hemsworth scored Will's role after landing on the final three spots.

"I think one of the elements that made that movie feel so special was it was watching two very young people fall in love with each other, which was happening in real-time and real life," she said. "So, the chemistry was undeniable and that was the beginning of a long, 10-year relationship."
They got engaged in May 2012 after going through an on-again, off-again relationship but broke up a year later. They reconnected in 2015 and eventually wed in December 2018, though their relationship was tested with infidelity rumors and the heartbreaking fire that burned down their Malibu, Calif., home.
However, they ended their relationship for good in August 2019.

In a press release after dropping the track, Miley Cyrus explained how the song honors who people have been, who they are, and who they will become. She noted how it felt like she was reflecting on her past while making the track.
"I am grateful to my loyal fans who make my dreams a reality daily," she continued. "I am sincerely thankful for the stability of your steadfast support. This song is for you."
"Used to Be Young" highlighted Cyrus' past party life and how she never regretted the experience even after finding new meaning in life. It also marked her first single since releasing her chart-topping track, "Flowers," as part of her album, "Endless Summer Vacation."
Cyrus also worked on the revamped version of the project, "Endless Summer Vacation: Continued (Backyard Sessions)."
