After two years of marital bliss, Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez have begun legally dissolving their marriage.
This week, Radar Online acquired documents confirming that Grand had submitted an official divorce filing.
In court documents submitted by the ex-couple, they list their wedding date as May 15, 2021, and the day they separated as February 20, 2023.
The "Thank U Next" singer declared that "irreconcilable differences" existed as the primary reason for her and ex-husband to separate. Additionally, the prenuptial agreement took precedence over any spousal support.
Under the Prenuptial Agreement, the parties have separate property assets and obligations.
Ariana recently acknowledged this. They include various items, from miscellaneous jewelry to earnings and accumulations before marriage, during marriage, and after separation.
Recently, it was reported by the famous gossip platform TMZ that despite having a solid prenup in place, Ariana is expected to make a financial settlement with her ex-husband.
Sources have informed E! News that shortly after their separation, Ariana began seeing Ethan Slater - someone from her "Wicked" co-star circle who is married.
Ethan and his then-wife Lilly Jay have filed for divorce recently. The separation of Jay's family has been heartbreaking for her-- "collateral damage," she calls it.
Still, Ariana is the silver lining in this story; as Lilly shared on July 27: "[Ariana's] the story. Not a girl's girl."
It looks like busy schedules may have been the deciding factor for Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez, as several outlets reported in June that her commitments to her movie role as Glinda had taken over most of her life.
An anonymous source shared, "The movie has completely taken over her life."
It has been a long time since Ariana left for Australia and England, almost a year, and there is still more of her journey to come.
The insider revealed that the couple rarely communicate since the actress strives to be careful with her vocal cords. "Dalton is used to his partner's work taking precedence," they said, noting that he has grown weary of it. "He just wants her back home."
