Jay Z, Kanye West and Rihanna are about to "Run This Town" every Thursday night in the name of sports. Following the announcement and release of Carrie Underwood's Sunday Night Football theme "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night," the less popular Thursday Night Football institution announced it will use the new classic hip-hop track to soundtrack its games.
According to HotNewHipHop, "Run This Town" will soundtrack CBS' Thursday Night Football every week.
The "Run This Town" football opener won't just include music from Jay Z, West and Rihanna. The pre-game package will also include customized game openings featuring the rival teams, footage from an airplane hangar and narration from Don Cheadle.
It's not Carrie Underwood and 11 all-star NFL players, but it still sounds pretty epic on its own!
The "Run This Town" Thursday Night Football opening will air every Thursday on CBS, starting with broadcasts on Sept. 11, when the Pittsburgh Steelers play the Baltimore Ravens. Thursday Night Football will run for 16 weeks between Sept. 11 and Dec. 20.
