The Rolling Stones is entering a new era of music as they're set to release their first album ever in 18 years. More recently, the group dropped their new track in collaboration with Stevie Wonder and Lady Gaga.

Ahead the release of their next project "Hackney Diamonds," Mick Jagger spoke with Zane Lowe on Apple Music to give some fans an insight regarding their team up with the pop superstar.

The 80-year-old legend said the new song "Sweet Sounds of Heaven" was written by himself as well as guitarist Keith Richards. It was recorded at the Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles, California.

In addition, some parts were also recorded in different locations around the globe like the Metropolis Studios in London, United Kingdom, as well as at the Sanctuary Studios in Nassau, Bahamas.

Lady Gaga was able to work with the iconic band face-to-face as they gathered together during a recording session in California.

Jagger later shared what happened behind the scenes, saying the track was recorded live in the room and it was a "great experience" for them.

Lady Gaga just came into the room and "her just opening up and seeing her bits and feeling her way and then getting more confident."

After the recording session, they polished the track up by adding more parts that they weren't able to record the first day.

It's worth noting that this was not the first time Lady Gaga worked with the Rolling Stones as she was one of the special guests during the band's 50th anniversary concert "50 and Counting" in 2012.

At the time, they performed "Gimme Shelter" in front of thousands of crowd at the Prudential Center in Newark.
