"Dancing With The Stars" returned for its 32nd season this 2023, and after two weeks, Jamie Lynn Spears was the second to be eliminated from the promising season.
Meanwhile, the show has announced that they would be doing a Taylor Swift week sometime this season.
Jamie Lynn Spears Eliminated
In a shocking turn of events, Jamie Lynn Spears was eliminated along with professional dancer Alan Bersten on the show's second week.
British comedian Matt Walsh was the first to get sacked last week.
In an Instagram post, Spears shared a lengthy message reacting to her elimination.
"Alan, you're the absolute best friend and partner that anyone could ever ask for. I got to raise some money for my #SAGAFTRA community and meet some of the most amazing ppl, and That's a win by all accounts in what I set out to do. Softball moms are hot," she wrote.
Spears addressed her fans' sentiment on her getting booted out on the competition at this early stage, assuring them that she "appreciate the tremendous amount love and support."
"..but this was an amazing experience, and I'm very happy to have been apart of it, and soooo excited to see all the fabulous contestants and their partners continue to KILL it each week!!!!!" she went on to say.
Upon the announcement of her inclusion in the recent season, Spears took to Good Morning America and revealed that everything she earned on the show would be funneled to the SAG-AFTRA Strike fund.
"I'm ready to challenge myself, and also being able to do it for a reason that means a lot to me while everybody in my community's on strike in SAG," she revealed back then. "I've had this unique opportunity where I was offered a chance to work when my community cannot work. So I figured, 'I'll do this, and I'll donate my weekly salary to SAG, WGA - just give back to them in a time where they can't even give to themselves."
'Dancing With The Stars' Taylor Swift Night
Speaking to Billboard, Barry Williams and Peta Murgatroyd of "Dancing With The Stars" revealed that there is going to be a Taylor Swift night coming sometime this Season 32.
"We will be having a Taylor Swift week here," Murgatroyd told the publication. "Am I allowed to say that?"
As they talked about the upcoming episode, Murgatroyd referenced Swift's budding romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce: "Apparently, I know who Travis Kelce is now. I did not know that name before."
"Dancing With The Stars" airs on ABC every Tuesday at 8 p.m.
