Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's budding romance has got everyone on social media hooked and talking. The rather unusual choice for Swift to date someone outside of the music industry had her fans' brain chemistry altered.
Since Swift attended Travis Kelce's game with the Chicago Bears, interest and attention surrounding the Kansas City Chiefs and the NFL have skyrocketed more than ever, driven by the power couple.
Now, director-actress Olivia Wilde, who is also a known philanthropist and advocate, reposted a viral joke talking about Swift's interest in men, which didn't sit well with Swifties.
Olivia Wilde's Taylor Swift Joke
In her Instagram story, Olivia Wilde reposted a tweet made by "Westword" actress Katja Herbers on X/Twitter which said, "I wish Taylor Swift was in love with a climate scientist."
The tweet itself has amassed more than 3 million views on the platform and over 83,000 likes.
Herbers, on the other hand, explained her tweet in a follow-up post. "Taylor would join her scientist at an end fossil fuels rally and the world would be saved," which was pertaining to Swift's huge influence in her loyal and wide fanbase.

Swifties Egged Olivia Wilde
Wilde shared the tweet on her Instagram Story, with others believing it was a shade on Swift's dating rumors. When Wilde posted the story, she was swarmed by Swifties.
"i hate how celebrities nowadays brings up taylor when they need some attention," a user wrote.
"Olivia Wilde should mind her business and behave," someone pointed out, while another shared that Swift has been very active in giving back to charities already.
Some Swifties even fired back at Wilde, saying "didn't she date Harry styles or am I missing something."
"she wasn't worried about climate change when she was flying cross the country to go chase Harry lmao," someone shaded.
"I get it but like also... who is Olivia Wilde to say s-t. I don't remember harry styles restoring the ozone when they were dating," another protested.
However, some defended Wilde's honor.
"Obviously it's a joke y'all. Some ppl r taking it further than that. The point was that nobody is doing shit for the environment. And most definitely not celebrities," a user wrote.
"It sounds like you don't get it. She knows Taylor brings attention to anyone she dated and that the same is not true of herself," another mentioned.
