Katy Perry reportedly "crossed lines" when her legal team dropped a baseless and damaging accusation about the veteran's illness.
The buzz started when Eric Rowan - representative for Perry's business manager, Bernie Gudvi - condemned the 84-year-old bedridden Carl Westcott's son for allegedly faking the veteran's illness. He said Chart Westcott and his family created the Huntington's condition for the trial.
Westcott's Family Slams Katy Perry
RadarOnline.com spoke to Chart regarding Rowan's tirade and accusation, saying that Perry took it far when they attacked his father's condition amid the legal battle over the $15 million mansion.
Per Chart, Perry and her team are trying to "smear him." He added that he did not take it lightly when the other party crossed lines with them.
For what it's worth, Rowan brought up the accusation during the October 4 cross-examination. Court Westcott gave his testimony to the court, but Perry's lawyer asked him, "Your family and you just created the whole hullabaloo about Huntington's for this trial, correct?"
Court hit back and called the inquiry disgusting; Rowan reportedly interjected and told him to answer only yes or no.
Carl's son then said that he did not fake his father's ongoing health issues.
Rowan mentioned in the opening statements that Carl's degenerative brain diagnosis had not impacted his mental capacity. He added that the veteran was already recovering from spinal surgery when he purchased the home in May 2020.
He continued accusing the other party of fabricating and faking his mental capacity.
Meanwhile, medical experts who testified said that the veteran was incapacitated and suffering from early Alzheimer/dementia symptoms due to Huntington's.

Katy Perry Remains Silent Amid Legal Battle
Meanwhile, Perry and Orlando Bloom have yet to comment on the new development after previously filing a motion to remove their names from the case's caption.
Carl's lawyer Andrew J. Thomas slammed the move as the couple tried to avoid negative publicity in the court war.
"What's really going on in the Motion is a veiled attempt by Katy Perry to avoid the negative publicity associated with her attempt to force an ill and elderly man in his 80s to sell her a house he had just purchased and moved into less than 2 months after Katy Perry decided she wanted to buy it," Thomas continued.
