In a few days, fans will witness Madonna perform on stage again for her "Celebration" world tour and many supporters are curious as to which songs would the singer perform as her series of concerts are meant to explore her decades-long music catalog.
More recently, the musical director of the tour, Stuart Price, shared some information and some people might find it shocking as she will not be performing with a band.
Price recently spoke in an interview with BBC News to share that fans should expect over 40 songs from the concerts and all of the track will be taken from different eras over the past four decades.
In addition, concertgoers should also expect some surprises from the pop star herself.
Madonna 'Celebration' Tour Will Not Feature Any Bands
Price later confirmed that the series of shows will not feature any bands to play her background instrumental tracks.
It might be weird for some, but Price said it will come in the form of videos and costumes to tell a story to the audience.
"A greatest hit doesn't have to be a song... It can be a wardrobe, it can be a video, or a statement," he explained. (via Billboard)
So if fans have different taste althroughout the singer's career, they will still enjoy and as a bonus, there would be archival footage and studio recordings of the mega pop superstar.
"A documentary through her vast career," Price said.
Madonna 'Celebration' Tour
Madonna will kick off her series of concerts at the O2 Arena in London, the United Kingdom, on October 14. The singer will perform at the venue for six nights.
She will then visit major countries around the world over the next few months.
Fortunately, the pop star was able to bounce back from her medical condition as she was hospitalized due to a serious bacterial infection.
Madonna was able to fully recover from her illness so she went back to rehearsals later on.
Her health woe at the time led to the postponement of the concerts in July. Initially, her North American leg will begin in July of this year, but due to hear health issue, it was pushed back to December. She will now begin in the United Kingdom and Europe.
