Troye Sivan has entered a new era in his life and music career by releasing a highly anticipated album, "Something to Give Each Other," with the third single, "One of Your Girls," and its accompanying music video.
Sivan has finally dropped his most controversial release yet, and it is arguably his most favorite piece of work yet.
"It was just like, I started working on it then COVID [happened] then I was filming a TV show, doing whatever," the singer told Jimmy Fallon during his appearance on the "Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."
"It just took a long time. I'm genuinely, like, this is the most proud I've ever been of anything."
The last time the Australian artist released an album was back in 2018 with "Bloom," and it received widespread critical acclaim.
So far, "Something to Give Each Other" received an 88 out of 100 score on Metacritic, a 9 out of 10 from Clash, a four-star review from The Guardian, five stars from NME, and three-and-a-half stars from Slant Magazine.
Troye Sivan Dresses in Drag for 'One of Your Girls' MV
Sivan caught the Internet's attention when he released his third single from the new album.
The music video shows the "Bloom" singer in drag, dancing next to a shirtless Ross Lynch.
Fans lauded Sivan and the music video, and it also got a lot of traction online because of the looks the singer served.
"She looks like... baby Meryly Streep?" One wrote.
"My boy is getting so much appreciation for this era. I'm so proud of him."
"I didn't know this is Troye, and I just kept wondering who is this girl 'cuz she's so pretty," another added.

Troye Sivan Faces Criticisms, Backlash
While Sivan is doing his victory lap since releasing the album as well as the three singles, namely "Rush," "Got Me Started," and "One of Your Girls," he has faced his fair share of backlash online.
"Rush" received criticism from netizens due to the lack of body diversity in the music video.
"I definitely hear the critique," Sivan responded. "To be honest, it just wasn't a thought we had - we obviously weren't saying, 'We want to have one specific type of person in the video.' We just made the video, and there wasn't a ton of thought put behind that.
"[...] That really bummed me out to read that - because I've had my own insecurities with my body image. I think that everyone's body is as beautiful as it is, including my own, and it just sucks to see people talking about other people's bodies."
