Dolly Parton is known for her amazing vocal skills when it comes to singing her massive country songs through the decades, but long before Madonna, Lady Gaga, and other female artists came to the scene, the country songstress was one of the first people who turned heads because of their fashion sense.

More recently, the "Jolene" singer recalled some of her most outrageous outfits through the years; did she ever regret wearing massive hairstyles?

Speaking in an interview with "Taste of Country Nights," the singer noted that even though her outfits were considered odd in the past, she never regret anything as it was one of the reasons why she's known as a legendary music figure in the industry today.

"I get such a kick out of seeing some of those God-awful extravagant things, and some of those big hairdos, oh my Lord!" she said.

Parton, who recently released her new book titled "Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones," added that she wouldn't think of her outfits as somewhat of a regret.

Dolly Parton Loves Looking Back at Her Most Iconic Fashion Looks

Elsewhere in the interview, the legendary musician said she doesn't mind looking back and having a good laugh on her fashion choices back in the day.

"[No one outfit] comes to mind that I would say is a total mistake, because I have this book to let you see how funny or Godawful or whatever it was," she said.

Parton further added that it's "kinda chronicling" her whole career in fashion and more people could see more mistakes than she would.

Dolly Parton Gets Physically Abused by Her Grandfather For Her Fashion Choices in the Past

Unfortunately, not everyone was fond of Dolly Parton's outfit as she revealed in an interview with The Guardian that her fashion choices back in the day was a reason why her grandfather would hit her.

She noted in the interview that her iconic outfits were based on the "town tramp," a local woman who always wears tight skirts, high heels, red lipstick, and long nails.

Although the singer said she didn't like being disciplined, she's willing to pay the price just to express herself, regardless if her grandfather approves it or not.

"I was willing to pay for it. I'm very sensitive, I didn't like being disciplined. It hurt my feelings so bad to be scolded or whipped or whatever," she noted. (via Page Six)
