Suzanne Somers' Husband's Heartbreaking Reaction Celebrating Her Birthday A Day After Death Revealed

One day after the death of Suzanne Somers, her family gathered on Tuesday, to honor her first heavenly birthday.

In an emotional video shared to the "Three's Company" actress' Instagram account, her husband Alan Hamel sang "Happy Birthday" with their son Bruce Somer Jr. and others in attendance.

The family of Suzanne expressed their immense appreciation for the warm regard they have received in the form of a heart-shaped cake adorned with lit candles.

The caption further wrote, "So many of you have asked what you can do to support our family. The most comforting gesture for us is to hear how Suzanne affected all of your lives."

After singing, they were all smiling joyfully - except for Alan, who was moved and had to cover his face with his hands as he became emotional.

At the time of Suzanne Somers' death, she had been in a long-term marriage with Alan for more than four decades.

The couple had begun dating in 1967 and got married ten years later. Although they never started their own family, Suzanne was mother to her son whom she had with ex-husband Bruce, and Alan has two children from his former marriage to Marilyn-Leslie and Stephen.

Suzanne Somers Cause of Death

Tragically, the world learned of the passing of beloved actress and singer Suzanne Somers at 76.

According to her family, the cause of death was a fight that had endured for over two decades - breast cancer.

In addition to this ailment, she had also been diagnosed with melanoma and a pre-cancerous condition in her uterus.

News of her death has been announced following her revelation several months ago of a return of her breast cancer. She had managed to beat it once more and was in remission before making it public.
