A renewed interest in the sources of inspiration for one of Taylor Swift's beloved classic songs has sparked a conversation amongst her fans.

Many have attempted to glean the identity of the individual behind her 2015 single "Wildest Dreams," which the 33-year-old singer penned.

From her record-breaking "1989" album, Taylor Swift's smash single captures a plea to an ex-lover not to forget her once their relationship ends.

Taylor's first non-country album featured the monumental hit in the form of a breakup song.

Though Taylor has yet to confirm, fans have speculated that one individual may have inspired this tune.

At the start of this month, a new wave of speculation was sparked when DeuxMoi published a celebrity hookup news report.

This reignited the whispers about an actor who may have inspired a particular song.

Swifties have been talking again, speculating that Taylor had Alexander Skarsgård in mind when she came up with "Wildest Dreams."

The song, co-written by Max Martin and Shellback, has sparked some of the latest gossip about the singer's life.

It has been seven years since 47-year-old Swedish hunk was linked to songstress when they acted together in an adaptation of the best-selling young adult novel, "The Giver," released in 2014.

Both stars joined forces for this production, which gained much attention upon its release.

This movie, set in a world where there is no such thing as feelings and memories have been eradicated, follows a young man who challenges this oppressive system.

Despite harsh reviews, it was successful with its $67 million earnings against a $25 million budget.

In the drama, it was none other than the iconic actor Jeffrey Bridges who filled the titular role. The story was set in a future society and was responsible for collecting all memories and feelings from times gone by before transferring them to Jonas (Brenton Thwaites).

In "The Giver," Taylor was cast as Rosemary, Jonas' daughter who attempted to receive his memories, only to be overtaken by them.

Meanwhile, it was up to actor Alexander to portray her father.

Just over a year following Taylor's split with Conor Kennedy, son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. during that time, film crews gathered in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa.

Then several news outlets released images of Taylor dining out with Alexander and Katie Holmes, who plays his on-screen wife in the movie.

Taylor and Alexander often came together during their time off set for informal musical performances. Alex said they had "jam sessions," where they took turns playing the piano and singing. He noted that these get-togethers were always enjoyable experiences.
